Another Link Building Strategy

Link Popularity is still one of the most heavily weighted factors in the search engine ranking algorithm. Your goal should be to fine at least one directory or site a week that is willing to link into your site.
One of the most effective link building strategies you can perform is to find out who's linking to your competition and get links from them. You simply go to Google and type in link:yourcompetitorssite.com. You'll get a list of sites linking to your competitor's site. Browse that site to see if there is a place to put a link to your site. If not, contact the person running the site and ask kindly for a link. Many times they will not respond, but some will. Now, out of those sites, do the same thing. See who's linking to them and get links from those sites!

This is probably the easiest way to get relevant backlinks. Sure it's tedious and time consuming, but in the long run, those top rankings will be worth all the time you practiced building links into your site.

My Site Is Down

You try to visit your site and your browser is unable to pull up the homepage. Before your assume your site is down and that no one can see it, make sure it's not just a transient problem with your compute connecting to the Internet.

First, try surfing to several Web sites to make sure the problem isn't only with one or a few particular sites.

Next, verify that your Internet connection isn't down. For instance, check and see if you can receive e-mail via Outlook or Outlook Express. If you can, the connection to your ISP's (Internet service provider's) mail server is working. Alternatively, try to use an instant messaging client or a program's "check for updates" feature to see whether they get anywhere.

If your Internet service is out, unplug your cable or DSL modem, if present, then power it back up. Do the same for your network router, if you have one. Wait a few minutes and then check Windows' Network Connections in the Control Panel to verify that your network is up. Restart your browser.

If all seems to be working properly, give us a call and we'll gladly check to make sure your site is working properly.
